Tammyrae (Leslie)'s Story
Hey all:
Life takes turns that we sometimes never see coming. I completed my engineering degree as many thought I would. I changed jobs a few times but took over as head of engineering at 35. Success might be what they call it but I failed myself until recently.
I have always had issues with fitting in and struggled with my identity. I thought if I complied, dug in deep and strove to reach the top that all would be good.
Truth is, you must first be happy with who you are and then build...Expand for more
around that. I am doing just that nowadays. It is costing me friends and family to some extent.
I left a top level position and tried to fade into the background to continue my career. After one false start, its going well. Hopefully I will one day cast aside my worries and allow my aspirations to fulfill my everyday.
Till then I will try my best to keep a good balance and will endeavor to remember that I am just me and need not be anything more than me, regardless of what others think.
